damonjoeobles I've sat down to review this album 3 different times, putting it on each time before I do, and inevitably I end up eyes closed, and transported beyond this veil of distraction into a place where our speech falls flat among the monolithic sound of the angels song, terrible and intoxicating. over the course of the last 9 months I've had the privilege of witnessing the evolution of an artist who creates worlds of sound and image to fill a strange universe of her own design, one i keep returning to. Favorite track: Renaissance.

about

"The Psychedelic Experience of Death" is an IO album inspired by the books "Bardo Thödol - The Tibetan Book of the Dead", by Padmasambhava; "The Doors of Perception", by Aldous Huxley; and "The Psychedelic Experience - A Manual Based on the Tibetan Book of the Dead", by Timothy Leary.

In this album, the artist uses a mixture of synthetic sounds and instruments and songs typical of Tibetan Buddhism with a ritual/martial/industrial language.

"If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is: Infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things thro' narrow chinks of his cavern."

William Blake
